Bad experience with Arredo Malaysia

Sigh.. disappointment, frustration are the words that I can describe the best for now.

Few months back we have ordered a sofa set from Arredo when they were having fair in Queensbay Mall. That was December last year (2009). The sofa is about RM3k. Oh gosh, I myself can't believe that I can spend that much of money to buy a simple sofa set. Well, not extremely expensive, but there are elsewhere having better design, cheap price and good durability sofa too. Just that we were kind of like this sofa at the first sight, so decided to grab it during the fair.

Few weeks after that, my dear's colleague told her that she had a damn bad experience with Arredo, that their delivery is never punctual. She had at least scolded them for 3 times on the delivery rescheduling at very last minute and told my wife to beware of this.

Now, it's our turn. At first, I called up to confirm the delivery date with Shah, the young good-looking salesman of Arredo who has an innocent look and he confirmed on the delivery date. I also reconfirmed with him on the color we selected through the phone. Yet, my instinct told me that they are going to do the mistake.. so, I purposely traveled down to Gurney to see this fella asking him to chop and sign on the sales order itself to confirm on the color and date of delivery. He had, in return, giving me a ready-to-fax paper for acknowledgment. Good.. settled.. that was what I thought.

Weeks ago when I have visited KL's PerfectLiving furniture expo, so coincidentally this Shah was assigned to work there too. Again, I verbally reminded him again on the delivery. He said he has informed the factory and will surely be punctual. My sofa delivery is secured, I thought..

One day before the delivery, I called up this guy and he mentioned that he has resigned. I've contacted his ex-manager and finally he got back to me saying that they are very sorry that there are some issue happened. The factory and delivery team did not receive the instruction to deliver the sofa to me. And kept on apologize. What the heck?! 3-4 times confirmation and given sufficient time to construct the sofa for me and now Arredo can't make deliver the thing to me? Nonsense.. If I was the first case then I might not feel so disappointed and frustrated. It happened to my wife's colleague too right?

So what is going on with Arredo? A big furniture company like this allows the stupidity of work to spread. If I didn't call them up to reconfirm again on the delivery, I am going to screw up the entire weekend waiting for them at home and yet getting nothing at all and eventually still have to waste my god damn money to call and scold them. I can always see their sales team trying hard in servicing the customers who are interested in their furniture, but eventually the management chain has screwed up their efforts.

Perhaps, its name has already suit their style best.. Ar? Redo...

上个星期去Old town吃下午茶。叫了它的套餐。图片的比率跟真正的食物相差实在是太多了。看看吧。。

5 years from the first visit. A lot of changes in this island. More and more developments.

Aiyah, don't know what to introduce lah. Our intention to go there was to go to the cable car which we've missed 5 years back. Now is disappointing that our trip met with rainy days, cloudy sky, misty view above the sky bridge.

真是的，我们又上报了。几年前上报受访问，还记得是在KLCC，新年前夕。这次，上了报，但不是好事 :P

失踪历险记

爬了Bukit Jambul 山那么多次，用过不同的道路，上上下下的路线也好像很熟悉了，没料到。。我们也有今天的下场。我们迷路了。。

今天反正无所事事，心血来潮想要去做运动，就选择了去爬山。还特别早到呢。平时都是差不多六点多才到，可是今天五点多久到了。热了身，大概五点二十五分就开始爬山。在山脚就看见了另一条路，也有人用，就假厉害跟着那条路。四周围的风景的确比较nice，有小瀑布，山水。走着走着，还有一对老夫妇在我们后面。到一段路我们停下来吸口气，老伯走过我们时还说"young man, stop already ar?" 我喘着笑着礼貌的看着他。

继续上的时候，老夫妇还在我们视线内。爬着爬着，老夫妇离我们的距离越来越远，然后就无影无踪了。我们继续跟着道路往前走，树上也有写着号码，从6爬到6 1/2，没看到七，就无端端到了8号。看上去的样子，也好像没有高过那里的树了，心想就快到顶峰了吧。路也开始没那么斜了。到了一个地方，看得到槟城的风景，却看到了一座岛。应该是Jerejak吧。没理它，继续走，口很渴，心里只想要快点到顶，可以喝杯姜茶，暖一暖喉。那时还有听到人讲话的声音。应该是要到了吧？在继续走了一段路，可以看到另一边的风景了。Oh my God, 看到Komtar pulak.. 通常会看到槟城大桥先的嘛，桥呢？？越走就离人家谈话的声音越远。然后又经过一些好像没有人走过的路，树枝又乱乱的。看到不对路，是时候掉头走了。

看下手表，6点多了，此地不宜久留，放弃喝姜茶的念头吧，是时候找路下山了。老婆带着路下山，我也跟在后面走，可是走下走下，好像用了不一样的路。。既然到了一个果园。之前上着的时候根本就没有经过果园。惨了，太阳慢慢的下山了。树林也越来越暗。我们又在果园的范围上上下下。上，是因为要找路出。下，是因为要到回果园好让别人在天黑时可以缩小巡查范围。不然如果在树林里，是周围都是树，要怎样形容我也不知道。在果园，就算饿到不能顶的时候，都有些东西可以吃嘛。迷路了还要选食物。。哈哈！那时也开始打电话向朋友求救了。在果园里，看到了拿督公的神位，停了下来保个平安。

天越来越暗了，无可奈何了，打112报警好了。当时也寄了这些照片给警方和朋友好让他们能猜到我们的位置所在。来来去去跟警察讲了几通电话，他们才派人去山脚。也通知了消防局。哈哈，好像搞到很大件事。天黑了，也好彩今天是农历十六，月亮蛮亮的。至少不会伸手不见五指咯。老婆在大声喊救命，我在尝试用最原始的石头起火方式点火以备后用。那时候才知道打火机是多么伟大的发明。吃大便啦，两粒石头敲一敲会有火花，可是要点火，很像要把铁棒磨成针似的。决心？十年八年还讲嗟。要在十分钟用石头点火，谈何容易啊？

突然间，见到有手电筒的灯光，看到有人向我们的方向走来，才开始心安了。好心的果园外劳看到我们无助的样子，带了我们下山去。警察和朋友都反反复复的打了几次电话来问情况，最终得救了，大家才松了一口气。外劳带着我们到了山脚，就往山上回到果园去了。我们随着平时爬山的tar road走下山，山底已经围满了警察和一位记者，只差消防员还没到。真是‘牌写’。。

录完口供，休息了一下，警察也让我们回去了。晚上在家，回想了一下，才开始觉得害怕。迟不迟钝了一点啊？哈哈。

在爬山的时候，我喉咙痒痒的，咳了一口痰向路边吐掉。也不知道是不是得罪了什么东东。走上山的时候，也有不小心看地不看天，头顶撞向一棵倒着的树干，还开了玩笑说这棵树笨笨的，撞向我的头。也可能得罪了那棵树吧？宁可信其有，不可信其无啊！不要以为很搞笑，隔墙有耳啊！在荒山野林里，还是不要乱讲话的好。在下山找出路的时候，老婆也说有闻到一股花香味飘过，而我却没有闻到。可能那时候就已经被盲目了路线吧？

下次进森林千千万万不要乱讲话哦。这一次，也不知道应该说是经验还是教训。什么都好，平安就好。

ROM of Wong & SS

Wong & SS have finally stepped into another stage of life, to be the legally acknowledged husband and wife. Happy for both of them too! I was like more excited than they did :P Kept on taking photos here and there..

After that we went for a refreshment.. and that was the time I've almost out of battery. Haha.. I thought refreshment supposed to be refreshing? I always terbalik wan.. keke..

Technology drawbacks

People tends to get panic when they can't get contact with their partner through the handphone, whereas 20 years back the handphone is yet to exist.

Students tends to rely on electronic dictionary and tends to forget the traditional book type dictionary.

Some even can't find the zoom button on MS Office as they are too depending on the mouse scroll keys.

Your colleague tends to send email to you when he is sitting right next to you at that moment.

When traffic light is not working, drivers no longer know how to cross the roads.

Human beings are too dependent on the technology. It has the advantages of making our life easier, but when the technology gadgets are not working well, everyone starts to get panic and losing out the directions. Are we handicapped with technology?

sunrise or sunset?

Looking at the sunlight penetrating through the cloud.. is this a sunrise or sunset? I couldn't stopped my hand to move into the pocket and grab my camera to capture this amazed scenery. The actual scenery looked much nicer compare to the one I can share.

People used to think that it's glad to see the sun rise, telling us that it's a beginning of a new day. Telling us that it's glad that we are still alive. Telling us that we are anticipating new things to come. But seldom to hear from people saying that sunset is a good sign. But, to me, the sunset is equally important. It creates the romantic moment looking at it, slowly sink beneath the clouds, welcoming the night in a very slow pace, and allow the world to get some rest to see a better tomorrow. If sun rise is telling us that we are still alive, then sun set will definitely symbolize that we spend through another nice day :)

I am not sure why I am getting so emotional tonight to write a blog like this. Maybe I am crazy today. But yet, I am still alive! twink ;) By the way, the scenery was a sun set captured at my company's car park :P with me, was my myvi.. haha.. romantic?

Snatch thief suspect pleads not guilty to killing pregnant mom

BATU PAHAT: An unemployed man pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here Wednesday to causing hurt and death of a pregnant woman in a snatch theft incident earlier this month.

Mohamad Ariffin Anang, 26, from Taman Flora, is charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder for the death of Jamilah Selamat at 7:15pm on May 3 in Jalan Kaloi, Air Hitam.

Her unborn child was also killed in the incident.

Looking calm and composed throughout the proceedings, Mohd Ariffin, is also charged with voluntarily causing hurt on the woman during a robbery at the same place and time.

The incident happened when Jamilah, 31, an assistant at a handicraft shop in Air Hitam, was riding her motorcycle to return home to Taman Air Hitam.

Judge Indra Nehru Sabandiah, who refused bail for the accused, ordered that he engage a lawyer and fixed July 13 to mention the case. -- Bernama

Change of government in Perak? 变天or 骗天？

Politics.. sad and disgraceful topic. What is going on with our country's democracy? Determining the ruling government of a state with the number of seats hold by the party? If that's the case, then why at the first place they still need rakyat to vote for the party of interest? Might as well just assign more headcounts in that state and grab the state.. don't waste rakyat's time and efforts by saying this is fair and square election. That's not democracy, that's dramatic..

The politics drama will most probably creates anger and dissatisfaction of the citizen. Shouldn't that another round of election being organized and let the rakyat to choose what they need and what they want, should it? Where is the freedom and respect toward the rakyat?

Well, I am not siding any of the parties in politics. But shouldn't that rakyat to make the decision to judge the best man instead of using country empowerment to make the decision? Politics.. the darkest side of the country that embedded with greediness, abuse of power, and evil..

At this economic breakdown season, government should have prepare the umbrella before the rain pours, however, seems like what have interest them more is on what they have now.. if this downturn has seriously impact the country in near future, not sure how much of trust the government will be losing out on the next election?

惊险登山记

星期六，睡起时已经是大约11点了。好热好热的下午。冲个凉，就出了去找东西吃。去了咖啡店，叫了一杯热热的白咖啡(刚刚才说天气热，无端端又叫热饮料。神经病。。)慢慢的享受咖啡的芳香。然后又心血来潮，跑去叫了一碗咖喱面(都说天气热了，还叫？！)。。吃完喝完之后，整个人就头昏脑胀，感觉晕晕的，还冒冷汗呢。

回到家里就不想出门了。虽然很闷热，总好过在外面的大太阳。穿着一件短裤，躺在床上吹吹风扇也是一种在大热天的乐趣。

到了傍晚，以前旧公司的好夥伴打电话叫我爬山。义不容辞的就答应了(反正在家也是无所事事，去做下运动也不错嘛)。到了武吉加姆山脚下已经将近7点了，用了20分钟爬到山顶，休息一下，也已经天黑了。坐在山上，看看槟城的夜景，看看将近农历十五的月亮，听听老朋友吐苦水，吹下大自然新鲜空气飘来的风。。还蛮轻松，蛮享受的。

回头望一望，哇靠！已经乌漆墨黑了。还以为山路的灯柱会有灯的，那知道都不开的。看见了三个登山的老兄也要下山，借着他们手电筒的灯光一起下山去。看不见前面的路时，只好拿手提电话出马了。要不然真的是伸手不见五指。。那三位老兄劝我们下次一定要带手电筒，不要指望灯柱会亮，因为只有国庆日时才会亮着的：P 好彩是遇到他们，不然的话，下一个消防队要找的就是我们俩个了：P 不过也不必怕啦，有电话在手嘛。。

经过了一次的冒险记，还觉得蛮刺激的。出了一身汗，好充实！

小朋友们，请不要根据以上胡说八道的危险动作去过生活。。
